Well, isn’t this a fine predicament I’ve thrust myself into? For being 120 years old, I should start to be a bit more cautious. Sleeping like a human is no place for a War Wizard in the middle of an expedition! Sure, I was able to eviscerate that owlbear and save a companion from certain death. But it was a bit reckless. When (if) I wake and (if) we get out of this place, we need to spend a bit of time as a group refining our strategy. It’s almost as if I’ve forgotten all my training in the finest army in the realm. I’m amazed at the prowess of the individuals in our band, but we lack coordinated effort. Looks like we need to learn to work more efficiently as a unit. Good thing I’m here…

(Conversation with Stonebreaker to Rochendir) during the recoup at the fountain: “I (Stonebreaker) have watched for some time now during our adventures. You are confused and it needs to stop. You are a strong warrior and your mistaken fear of yourself is endangering the party. You and I are brothers in battle. We choose to be men. Men of courage and blood. Do not fear what you are and do not waste your time thinking about the past. You are orc and man. Act without fear. You will only become what you choose to be. Enough talk. Let us find something to kill.”

(Rochendir, sharing his inner thoughts with me). We have rid the world of many evil and undead creatures, saving many who live nearby. Although I wonder if I am attracting the undead. I had only heard ghost stories while sitting around the village bonfire. I had never seen such horrors or thought the stories could actually be true. Since I have begun the latest stages of my transformation, I have seen were-creatures, a skeletal warrior, zombies, and what is called a wraith. If I am attracting stronger and more powerful undead, perhaps I should put more distance between me and this group who I now call my friends. I would not wish to get them killed after all they’ve done for me.

(Llewyth turns to Hawthorne) “Master Elf this is not the life I wish to lead, your tutelage will always be remembered but I want to return to my uncle.” Hawthorn looks around “in case you haven’t noticed we are kind of lost under this mountain…” Hawthorne is visibly uncomfortable in this environment. “My uncle gave me a way back if I found anything… well as he put it interesting and worth his attention…” “Bye then.” Broknar barked from his position leaning against the adjacent wall. “I will need an escort, the stones will only take me to where we hobbled the horses. Well, they will take me back to the stone in my saddlebag.” Serillian perked up “I really do not think we should split the party.” Jinx chirped, “Well it hasn’t worked out well for us so far but we can’t let him go alone, I will escort you, as long as you can return me.” She shoots a quick look to Stonebreaker who nods in approval.
